Fees & Funding

At Good Choice Therapy (GCT), we strive to meet the financial and logistical needs of your family and you will be assisted to choose the most suitable funding options available.

Our Policies
Travel Cost & Cancellation:

-Travel fees is charged on a pro rata basis as per NDIS guidelines ($1.62 per minute travel cost + Non-labour associated cost of $0.99 per kilometre).
We encourage you to enquire for a personalised quote for travel costs. Please feel free to reach out to us for further information on pricing and any inquiries regarding travel costs.


-A minimum of 2 business days’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. In the event that 2 business days (48 hours) is not provided the full cost will be charged.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

We accept National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants who are Plan Managed or Self-Managed.
GCT reserves the right to change our fees according to the NDIS guidelines.

Medicare Plans

Medicare Plan rebates are available for clients under a Chronic Disease Management Plan which are issued by the child’s General Practitioner.
Full payment for services is requested, a receipt will then be issued promptly which can be lodged with Medicare to receive your rebate.

Private Healthcare

Some private health funds offer rebate for speech pathology services.
Please discuss this with your individual private health funds as rebates can vary depending on your level of cover.

Fee Schedule

Phone Consult

Initial phone consultation in which we collect client’s background information, discuss areas of concern and plan suitable assessment and supports.

Initial Assessment

Type of informal or formal assessment our speech therapists choose depends on your child’s current functioning, concerns or goals.

Therapy Sessions

Following initial assessment, if therapy sessions are recommended, we work with you to determine what these will look like (frequency/duration/location).

Assessment & Progress Report Writing

A range of report types and levels of detail can be provided following your child’s initial assessment, or as a reflection of progress within or at the end of a period of therapy. Reporting is charged per hour of completion in the following categories:

Short Report

$290 – $388 (1.5 h -2.0 hrs)

2-4 page written report outlining the most important parts of your child’s assessment results, key recommendations and key strategies.

Detailed Report

$582 (3 hours)

5+ page written report detailing your child’s background history, all relevant information collected in the assessment session, their assessment results (including strengths and areas for progress), and key recommendations and strategies for home and education (where appropriate).
